Inform has worked with the Houston Zoo to create a thriving culture of evaluation within their Education Department.

At the core of all of our work is a fierce belief that evaluation delivers the most value when it is useful — when it provides new insights into the work that you do and transforms the way you work with your audiences. It leads to new ways of meeting educational goals for your audiences, whether it be tweaking existing efforts or completely rethinking your approach. These decisions are all based on the data and evidence that good evaluation provides. Our work is guided by the following four principles:

Transformation

We believe evaluation should transform practice, improving the work that you do. We are ready to partner with and help you apply the learning that comes from the work we do together.

Equity and Justice

We are committed to using evaluation to help create a more just and sustainable world. Diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion are values we aim to uphold for our own organization, our clients, and our field. We make every effort to recognize the roles that power and privilege play in our evaluation practice, but we also know that we will be lifelong learners in the culturally responsive evaluation space. Intentional reflection on our processes and practice is an important part of advancing equity through our work.

Team approach

The organizations we work with are more than just clients. We build relationships so that you feel like you are part of our team — and we feel a part of yours. This collaborative and friendly approach is a cornerstone of our work.

Collaborative

You learn through working with us. We bring a collaborative process to our work because we believe it is important to uncover insights together. We value modeling evaluative thinking and sharing our reasoning and evaluation process with you so you can learn along the way.

Transparency and Trust

Transparency is key — we trust the work you do and your intentions to make an impact, and we want you to trust us and our process. With any project, we facilitate a reflective process to help key stakeholders make meaning of the findings and identify implications.
